Day 21 Our First Freedom

When we constantly and thoughtfully engage ourselves with the ideas, images and information that are provided by God through the scriptures, hi son Jesus, and the lives and experiences of his people throughout the ages, we are nourished by the Holy Spirit in ways far beyond our own efforts or understanding.

The ultimate freedom we have as hunman beings is the power to select what we will allow our minds to dwell on.sometimes this is hard for me because my mind does wander and not always are the thoughts the nice ones.Today I make a conscious effort to put my mind on God so my thoughts are not always in the wrong place.
God please give me guidance to transform my entire life and all that enters my mind so that they be healthy and good Godly thoughts.I pray this in your son Jesus name AMEN!

In my experience, this is true. There have been times in the past when I have done a better job organizing my life around the things of God, and that translated into a transformation of the way I thought and acted. Unfortunately, I didn't continue to organize my thoughts that way, and the change didn't last.

I have been working now at changing that again so that the transformation can continue.

TK and MB,
Can you believe I'm back again!?!

Here's the mini-experiment (small step) I'm going to try today: (Yesterday's was adding a comment). When my mind wanders to a person/situation that I can be critical of (and oh, yes, there are a few in my life.) I'm going to purpose to pray for that person instead. I know I can ONLY even TRY this with the Holy Spirit's "nourishment". Hold me accountable. Will let you know how it goes.
