Welcome to our online discussion of Dallas Willard and Jan Johnson's Renovation of the Heart in Daily Practice: Experiments in Spiritual Transformation. Each day, Monday-Friday, I will post the title of that day's chapter and maybe an excerpt from the chapter. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, will be to read that day's selection from the book then click on the comment link and add your $.02 to the conversation. I need some listening retraining. I often feel like I need to have an answer so instead of listening intently my brain is off trying to formulate a witty comeback or appropriate consulation or piece of advice.
Listening is not the problem for me I listen to everything the problems are hearing,paying attention & understanding sometimes believing in what I hear. Thats why I put God in my life I could not do it on my own!!
when I read this, I thought of head, heart, hands, feet - they can be instruments for the kingdom or instruments of sin.
i'm really good at cutting people off mid-sentence - i'm going to work on re-training myself there.
