Day 6 The Heart of me
A person who is prepared and capable of responding to the situations of life in ways that are good and right is a person whose soul is in order, under the direction of a well-kept heart, in turn under the direction of God.
DW p.25
Teach me your way O Lord,
and I will walk in your truth
give me an undivided heart,
that I may fear your name.
Psalm 86:11
"...to be the same person all the time."JJ p. 25

WOW this is a low blow!! I could really identify with this chapter I have always wanted one thing one minute and something else the next. Many times in the past and also sometimes today i say things or do things I end up regretting. There is nothing more I want to acomplish in my life then to be content with my life and have peace in my heart also put more of a focus on God. I GUESS I NEED HELP BEING RETRAINED IN THESE AREAS. I am just glad that God allows me to see my faults.
In my journal this morning I drew what look like a "web" - my heart in the middle and all the other stuff (choices, feelings, thoughts, etc) branching out of it. The condition each one of these is in depends on my heart.
I am going to type up Psalm 86:11 and hang it in a place where I have to look at it and think on it often (I think that place would be m computer monitor!).
This upcoming Lenten season I am going to focus on re-training my desires so I can have more of an undivided heart.
